SoCal Wildflower Fest @ Adventure Day - April 14, 2012!

The largest Wildflower Festival in Southern California - Celebrate Wildflowers! Presented by OC Hiking Club (oc-hiking.com) a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit. Registration includes a 2012 Wildflower Fest T-shirt, wildflower hikes, outdoor skills clinics, and prizes for the OC Register / OC Hiking Club Wildflower Photo Contest will be distributed. Come enjoy music, expo vendors, CLINICS, and activities designed to connect families, children and adults with the nature.  SoCal’s premier wildflower and hiking event!

State law protects wildflowers on public land. Be careful not to step on them or pick them - Thank you!

Location

The event is held at Caspers Wilderness Park in San Juan Capistrano.  The day will be filled with family-friendly activities designed to get folks off the couch and into nature!

Hiking

Hikers can choose from three route choices based on their fitness level or interest:

•  9:00 AM Advanced Wildflower Vista Hike
•  9:15 AM Intermediate Exploration Hike
•  9:30 AM Moderate Wildflower Hike

A variety of speakers and outdoor skills clinics will be featured after the hikes!

SoCal Wildflower Photography Contest

Photographers will have a prime opportunity to capture wildflowers in two of Southern California’s loveliest natural settings. Prizes and honorary plaques will be distributed for the OC Register/OC Hiking Club 4th Annual Wildflower Photo Contest.

Family Activities

Enjoy music, lunch from Lime Truck, expo booths and activities for the entire family.

This is a family-friendly event open to the public. Youth groups, hiking enthusiasts, students and corporate partners are welcome to attend as a group or individually. Everyone from beginners to experienced hikers, wildflower enthusiasts, photographers, and nature lovers will be out to enjoy the day and reconnect with nature.
